The Washingtonian Informer TV

Program Director and Special Education ELA teacher, Mr. Minor got to be interviewed by the Washingtonian Informer TV, WIN-TV, on their Facebook live. WIN-TV wanted to speak to teachers as they were adjusting and back to school. This was such an opportunity as a black male educator teaching students in the local area of southeast DC, Anacostia neighborhood.

On Season III, Episode 22 "Raising the Bar", SBM, hosted by Prof. JBA features special guest, Mr. A. Minor as they discuss raising the bar mentally, emotionally and spiritually for Black men. How can we as a village support each other as black men, as educators, as humans, to serve our students.

Community Impact Assembly 2023, Charlotte, NC

The conference focuses on building community among male educators of color nationwide while gaining leadership and professional skills to apply in the classroom or educational worksite. Leading professional development workshops on “Building an Inclusive Community”, educators were equipped with various strategies to build community through SEL practices, relational trust, and agency to take back to their classrooms.
