March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and it affects more than the educators and students we interact with regularly. We want to celebrate the inclusion of children with disabilities in civic and social life to create strong and diverse school communities nationwide!
On Tuesday, March 5th at 6:30pm, I will be joining an experienced and diverse group of amazing advocates, educators, and panelists for the first installment of the National Parent's Union, "Let's Get Real" Town Hall series. This webinar and future installments are accompanied by a parent workshop so you're able to get all the resources and information parents, families, and other educators may need or have! Education is a collaborative effort, and without our parents and advocates, our students are the ones who end up on the losing end.
The Parent Voice and Policy Actions on Special Education webinar will focus on ways to provide resources in how to support parents with early detection, screenings and things to know. Be sure to register for this new webinar series and please share with your families and fellow parents!
